United Family Services is proud to partner with the Mecklenburg County Women’s Commission, our sister agency that provides nonresidential domestic violence services. We have formalized our partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding which includes provisions for co-location of staff and services, shared strategic planning and shared staff training.

Together, we operate the Speakers Bureau, made up of trained volunteers who conduct domestic violence presentations of behalf of the two organizations. The Women’s Commission also manages the Silent Witness display.
